21-Day Freedom Devotional - Day 1

📖 Day 1: The Source of Freedom

Scripture: “So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.” – John 8:36 (AMP)

Devotional: Freedom is not a feeling. It's not a motivational concept. It's not something you earn through effort or religious performance. Freedom is a person—and His name is Jesus.

Many of us chase freedom through self-help, success, or self-discipline, but those roads always lead us back into cycles of striving. The truth is, we were never meant to free ourselves. Jesus came to do what we could never do—set us free from sin, shame, and spiritual bondage. His freedom isn’t temporary or conditional. It’s eternal, complete, and unquestionable.

Today, rest in the truth that your freedom is not based on your performance. It’s anchored in the finished work of the cross.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for being the source of my freedom. I receive what You paid for. Help me to stop striving and start standing in the truth that You have already made me free. Amen.

Call to Action: Take a moment today to declare this out loud: “I am free because Jesus made me free. ”Write it somewhere you’ll see it often. Let that truth anchor your heart.
